Asia Restaurant occupies a large, lightfilled space on the ground floor of The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Mega Kuningan. The restaurant's brunch outlet offers an eclectic mix of local and international cuisines for its guests, accompanied by seasonal specials inspired by Jakarta's ever-vibrant food scene. The main attractions of the buffet spread include sushi and sashimi, freshly baked goodies such as wholegrain rolls and croissants, the ever-popular As You Wish teppanyaki station, the tantalising carving station and towers of bamboo baskets filled with handmade dim sum. Specials include a selection of pasta inspired by seasonal ingredients, various kinds of noodles, as well as favourites such as roast beef at the carving station.
The dessert section is a literal wonderland of tempting sweet treats. Guests are urged to pile their plates with house-made tarts, freshly churned gelatos as well as indulge in the decadent chocolate fountain. The unique dessert not to be missed is the cendol cake, an amalgamation of rich coconut-based cream, pandan chiffon cake and a lovely gula jawa gelatine layer.
