The Plan­ta­tion Grill Seminyak, with its vaulted dou­ble-height ceil­ing, tow­er­ing pil­lars and im­mense floor-to-ceil­ing win­dows is a so­phis­ti­cated restau­rant found within the Dou­ble-Six Lux­ury Ho­tel, Seminyak in the heart of one of Bali's hippest tourist hubs.

Sump­tu­ous and al­lur­ing the de­sign is straight out of the 1920's New York pic­ture book with chic leather booths, brass, mar­ble, pot­ted palms and art deco ac­cents. There's be­spoke light­ing, op­u­lent dark woods and a pic­ture-post­card spi­ral stair­case lead­ing to the mez­za­nine where the iconic SLING Bar awaits to serve Pro­hi­bi­tion-style cock­tails, pre­mium spir­its and wines into night.

Start the Roar­ing Twen­ties ex­pe­ri­ence with an aper­i­tif in the stylish Bil­liard Room, where you can also en­joy dishes like steamed lob­ster roll, minute steak, hand-cut fries and wood-grilled burg­ers from the bar menu.

Backed by ex­cel­lent ser­vice and an im­pres­sive wine list, the restau­rant's spe­cialty is dry aged, im­ported meat and line-caught sus­tain­able seafood cooked over cus­tom-made coal and wood grills and wood-fired ovens.

The menu of­fers hot and cold starters like prawn bisque and beef tartare be­fore whisk­ing you to­wards the mains and your favourite steak cuts plus lamb chops, wagyu burg­ers and baby back ribs are ready to tempt. Away from the steak there's whole rock lob­ster Ther­mi­dor, roast chicken, roast duck and yel­low fin tuna steak; jaw-drop­ping cui­sine, per­fectly cooked and beau­ti­fully pre­sented.

For veg­e­tar­i­ans the oven-baked mush­room tart and the black truf­fle mac-and-cheese are sure to hit the spot whilst the range of in­spired desserts is sim­ply sub­lime.
