BUNGA RAMPAI

-

The popular Indonesian restaurant in Jakarta, Bunga Rampai, might have been standing tall and proud for 14 years, but the building goes way back to the early 1900s.

As a gathering venue for important national figures back in the day, the colonial-style building is dubbed one of the important buildings in Indonesian history. These days, Bunga Rampai is a go-to culinary destination for those who want to experience authentic Indonesia, in terms of flavours, as well as cultures and aesthetics.

The name Bunga Rampai means a floral arrangement consisting of a variety of flowers. The idea of the namesake is to showcase how the restaurant offers different cuisines and flavours from around Indonesia. With the motto A Natural Retreat of Fine Cuisine, diners can rest assured that the dishes here are only made with high-quality ingredients, herbs and spices, with age-old recipes of Indonesian favourites.

All-time favourite signatures include sop buntut bakar (grilled oxtail soup), nasi Rebana and nasi Bali. However, newer additions are also worth the appetite, such as ayam tangkap, oseng itik rempah, sate banjar, sate maranggi, ikan bakar parape, and more.

Bunga Rampai not only serves authentic Indonesian cuisine but also provides a charmingly picturesque venue for you to enjoy quality time, or even host a medium to large gathering. Sprawled across three storeys, the building can accommodate up to 600 people standing, or 300 people with the seating arrangement.

The dining room on the first floor comes with a bar if you’re looking to have a pre-dinner tipple. The restaurant also provides a number of VIP rooms for your event or gathering needs. Head to the third floor and see the enchanting greenhouse-style design with glass walls and ceiling.
