Indomie x Nike

Jonathan “Jonas” Gustana, a young Indonesian based in Singapore created an internet sensation when he showed off a never-seen-before crossover between Nike and Indomie on Instagram.

Jonas, who goes by the online alias Mr. Simply Custom (@mr.s.custom), customised a pair of Nike Air Jordan 1 Yin Yang with the same green, red and yellow colours found on the packaging of our national-favourite Mie Goreng. The high-tops also sports the tagline “Micin Generation” that alludes to the amount of MSG we knowingly consume.

Jonas has been custom painting shoes for fun when he found @arifwhy’s conceptual picture on Instagram of an Air Jordan x Nike crossover. With his permission, Jonas brought to life a hypebeast staple footwear meets Indonesian staple food into 20 limited pairs that sold out in a matter of days.
