World Bank and Pri­vate Com­pa­nies Plan to Ad­dress Poverty in Yo­gyakarta

The Yo­gyakarta Re­gional Leg­isla­tive Coun­cil re­vealed that World Bank and pri­vate firms are set to help the city al­le­vi­ate poverty.

The Coun­cil has met the gov­ern­ment to ask for solutions that could help the city re­duce its poverty rate by 2019. The poverty rate in Yo­gyakarta cur­rently stands at 13 per­cent and mul­ti­ple par­ties are now in­volved in mak­ing sure that the city finds a way to curb poverty.
