Bandung Independent School Appoints New Head of School

BANDUNG

Bandung Independent School has named Mr. Chris Toomer as its new Head of School. He and his wife Winda joined the international K-12 community from the United States, where Chris led an IB World School in the New York City area. Over the past 15 years, he has worked as a teacher, Vice Principal, Head of School, as well as the Academic Director for a network of nine schools serving nearly 3,000 K-12 students. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Asian Studies from Northwestern University and a Master of Public Administration from Harvard’s Kennedy School. Soon to be a family of three, Chris and Winda are excited to be returning to Indonesia and looking forward to contributing to both the school and the wider Bandung community.
