02 Japan Festival
The Nakama “Machi” Festival, the first Japanese culture-cumculinary festival in Indonesia, will quench the thirst of travel buffs with an array of attractions. Venue: Ecopark Ancol, Jakarta; highlights: bungee running, bungee trampoline, an Aokigahara Obake haunted house and a manga class; tickets: Rp165,000 to Rp900,000.

Yudai Kamisato, one of the most exciting and innovative voices from Japan’s theatre new generation, will stun stage aficionados for two nights at the Salihara Black Box Theater, Jakarta. The 80-minute piece +51 Aviacion, San Borja highlights Kamisato’s journey juxtaposed against the lives of Japanese immigrants in Latin America. Showtime: 8pm; tickets: Rp75,000.
07 Sculpture Triennale
Celebrated sculptors and statuaries will take part in the “Skala” Indonesia Third Contemporary Sculptures Triennial to be held for 20 days at Galeri Nasional, the National Gallery in Jakarta. Exposition Hall A, Hall B, and Hall C; times: 9am-4pm; admission: free.
15 Sherina the Musical
Jakarta Movement of Inspiration, in cooperation with Miles Film, is presenting, for three days, Petualangan Sherina The
Musical, a musical drama based on the adventures of young singer Sherina. Venue: Teater Jakarta; showtime: 7pm; tickets: Rp100,000 and Rp600,000.
17 The Bali Triathlon
The Bali International Triathlon is back in Sanur for its ninth year. Featuring a new course that starts and finishes at Sanur beach, the race is slated to once again run a male and female Olympic Distance Course, a Sprint Distance Course and a 5k Fun Run.
23 Choir Festival
Forty noted choir groups will participate in the Batak Protestant Christian Church HKBP Pasar Rebo chapter’s church choir festival at Ciputra Artpreneur Theater, Jl. Prof. Dr Satrio Jakarta. Tickets for the two-day contest are set at Rp250,000, Rp175,000, Rp150,000 and Rp100,000.
Jakarta Ballet Gala
“The 2nd Indonesian Ballet Gala 2017: An Inclusive Dance Event” a production of Ballet Indonesia Foundation will be staged at Teater Jakarta, Taman Ismail Marzuki. Showtime: 7pm and 9pm; tickets: Bronze Rp280,000, Gold Rp600,000, and Titanium Rp1,250,000.

The three-day Asia Tri Jogja will feature renowned artists from various parts of the world. The Yogyakarta art happening offers several activities that vary year by year; presentations include art spaces, dance performances, as well as batik and dance workshops.
Bali Lovina Festival
Taking place near the villages of Kalibukbuk and Kaliasem, this three-day festival will sparkle with magical sunsets and black sand juxtaposed eclectically with north Bali’s natural beauty and creative entertainment.
