Birected by stefano Gaggero, Flexform’s MOOD proposes an ecosystem of objects governed by harmony with an intimate look. There is a restful silence of objects in discreet tones, with rounded, bevelled and curved lines, moving away from cold and angular lines. The new MOOD products are designed by Roberto Lazzeroni, celebrating his 10 years of collaboration with Flexform this year.

A linear component sofa of rather rigorous design called “Mr Wilde” has a continuous seat cushion, embraced by the back, which wraps around it and which is slightly splayed at the two sides. The smooth, taut surface of the padded seat and back is softened by a series of goose-down cushions and a slender fabric border that enhances the piece. The wooden base rests on the metal frame, raised off the ground. The sofa is ideal for both residential and public spaces, as well as hotel lobbies and waiting areas.

Next up is “Marmaduke”, a collection of graceful, refined round, square and rectangular tables. The structure is in metal with an original graphic touch on the leg. The tables are completed by marble tops in Pinta Verde—a white crystalline marble with gentle green shadings—and Verde Alpi, with a dark background and green veins. There is also a small desk with drawers on the same metal base as the tables and with an elegant top clad in cowhide. This is a gem of an object that can add an elegant touch to rooms in a boutique hotel.

In addition, the successful “Dragonfly” collection has been expanded with the insertion of an armchair and two larger sofas to join the existing settee and chaise longue. This collection, with its genteel manner, is perfect for the design of hotels and other public spaces thanks to its enveloping, sophisticated look, but also ideal to round out a living room in a domestic context.

Meanwhile, the “Icaro” collection, from which the bed is a MOOD bestseller, includes a new sofa, armchair and tables that conserve the original visible tubular wood structure, which sets the tone of the whole collection. The new round sofa provides extreme comfort: an island of relaxation that fits perfectly into the indoor-outdoor trend.
