Enjoy a sunny break away from the city noise at Alila Villas Uluwatu

Overlooking the indian Ocean, Alila Villas Uluwatu sets itself apart from its rivals with an unprecedented level of private space, innovative design structures, crafted artisanship, personalised hospitality, and bespoke journeys.

Alila means “surprise” in Sanskrit, which suitably describes what guests are in for as they approach the airy lobby of the resort. They are then greeted by a refreshing hand towel, face mist, and a chilled glass of frangipani and rose water. A true Balinese welcome, indeed.

In support of sustainable tourism, Alila Villas Uluwatu has adopted Earthcheck operating standards, integrating the natural, physical, and cultural elements of its environments. Home to 65 luxurious villas ranging from one-bedroom offerings to sumptuous three-bedroom villas, these spaces have been constructed to follow an environmentally sustainable framework, each one having its own pool and cabana and with some overlooking the Indian Ocean.

Meanwhile, the resort’s walls are made from batu palimanan sourced from

Jogjakarta, while the bamboo ceilings and rattan interiors are locally sourced and crafted in Bali. In addition to it being an eco-friendly establishment, the wood used all around the resort is recycled from railway sleepers and telephone poles.

Apart from its impeccable villas, the resort is also home to some of the island’s best dining venues: the newly opened Quila is a haven for gastronomic delights, CIRE is an upmarket gourmet comfort food destination, and The Warung presents a delightful variety of Indonesian and Balinese dishes. All of this tantalising food can be enjoyed while savouring sublime views of the Indian Ocean.

Now until September, The Warung will also present “Forgotten Spices”, a gastronomic journey across the archipelago featuring a series of five talented chefs. For more information on this and other promotions, visit www.the-warung.com/events.
