AFTERMATH : ART IN THE WAKE OF WORLD WAR ONE
Tate Britain, London
JUNE 5 TO SEPTEMBER 23
Marking a century since the end of the Great War, the exhibition delves into the impact of the war on British, German and French art as well as how artists responded to the physical and psychological scars left on Europe. Among the 150 works on show from 1916 to 1932—a period of exploration of new imagery and ways of making art in response to the experience of war—are pieces by George Grosz, Otto Dix, Fernand Léger, Pablo Picasso and CRW Nevinson. tate.org.uk
