Christian Dior launched its bigger and better Plaza Senayan boutique to the city’s fashion insiders on Thursday, August 31. The boutique, first opened in 2001, was renewed under the latest direction from the Dior Paris team, expressing the timeless elegance that defined the house within a modern and sophisticated setting. The new boutique was designed to create an intimate atmosphere of a refined residence, taking visitors on a voyage through the world of Christian Dior. The entrance opened into a capacious space, giving an uninterrupted view of the leather goods offering and the fall/winter 2017 womenswear collection by Artistic Director Maria Grazia Chiuri. The Lux Room showcases Dior’s exotic leather goods in a feminine ambiance. Throughout the space, light gray and white are heavily used in reference to Monsieur
Dior’s signature colours. A new area is dedicated to ready-to-wear and shoes, in which in-house stylists would be ready to serve clients by request. Coveted leather goods including J’Adior, DiorEvolution, Diorever and Diorama from the fall/ winter 2017 collection will be available in store. Digital influencers, celebrities and fashion enthusiasts excitedly explored the seasonal collection in the new space. Many of them dressed in an homage to the new era at Dior, in which feminism became a style weapon. The guest of honour at the stylish event was seasoned blogger and a friend of Dior, Aimee Song, better known as @ songofstyle on Instagram, who flew in from New York.
