KAREN MILLEN

Move with confidence

-

IN LINE WITH its mission to dress confident, energetic women, Karen Millen launches its Fall/ Winter 2017 campaign, #WORKINGIT. The campaign adds a touch of polish to life’s every moment, transforming the mundane working week to be brighter, glossier and more extraordinary. As the brand says: “When you slip on your favourite dress, tailoring or shoes, you walk taller, smile brighter and move with confidence – you command attention effortlessly, no matter what life brings your way.”

The campaign captures the spirit of the season, from immaculate tailoring to the elusive 24-hour dress and high-octane eveningwear. The collection is divided into two major themes: Come Undone and Feminine Grandeur.

Come Undone reworks softly structured silhouettes with draped liquid satins and fresh tailored cottons, folding, draping and belting giving essential wardrobe staples a refresh. Corsetry draws the eye to the waist on shirts, dresses and sleek tailoring, cinched with belts and shown off with reveal-and-conceal cut-outs. Graphic lines give a sport-luxe twist to grey melange knits and fresh asymmetric one shoulder tops, while sharp tailoring is tempered with technical fabrications and sporty elements for a thoroughly contemporary refresh.

Feminine Grandeur showcases effervescent soft frills and volume constructed from rich satins and velvet lurex jacquards – a lavish and contemporary approach to dressing up. A season of extremes, necklines are high or asymmetric, while lengths are either maxi or micro. Reminiscent of stylish days gone by, tailoring nods to the 1980s with sculptural shoulders, while a slouched drape effect takes its cue from the 1990s. The cold-shoulder remains a key look for the season, updated with one sleeve on structured party dresses, while silky-smooth faux fur offers a sumptuous way to wrap up against the chill once the party’s over.

The new collections are available at Karen Millen stores. Jakarta: Plaza Senayan, Plaza Indonesia, Galeries Lafayette Pacific Place, Central Grand Indonesia Surabaya: Tunjungan Plaza 4
