Love in Florence
Love was in the air of Florence as Rachel Nathani, daughter of Sunnil Nathani and Raveena Nathani and Amrit Lakhiani, son of the late Banu Lakhiani and Sonia Lakhiani, took their vows to be husband and wife on Monday, June 19. The couple celebrated their union over three days, each featuring whimsical themes and stunning locations.
The first day started with a ghari ( Sindhi wedding ritual) on the rooftop of The Westin Excelsior, overlooking the city. This was followed by a welcome dinner at Winter Garden Restaurant
by Caino at the St. Regis Florence with a “Fairy Lights and Fairytales” theme. The dress code was fusion fun and the couple looked stunning in Gaurav Gupta and Shantanu & Nikhil outfits.
On the second day, Rachel and Amrit celebrated at the magnificent Palazzo Corsini. The bride looked dramatically beautiful in Zuhair Murad’s floor- sweeping lace gown, while the groom looked sleek in Tom Ford. “Love and Lemons” was the second day’s theme and the guests were handed little limoncello bottles. The sacred ceremony turned into a fun night as the French trio Paris House Addict hit the stage.
The last day was the Indian wedding with “Roses and Rituals” as the theme. The groom made an entrance in a Roman chariot. But the one who stole everyone’s attention was the bride in an Indian red wedding dress by Manish Malhotra.
Said Rachel: “The ceremony was held at Villa Le Corti, Tuscany at sunset. As it got darker, the fireworks show came on during the final part as we walked around the fire.”
