SELENA GETS PERSONAL

Selena Gomez is often in the news, but she caused a particularly strong buzz last month. On September 13, the young singer and entertainer made a special appearance at Coach’s flagship store in New York to celebrate the launch of the Coach x Selena Gomez collection.

The next day, Gomez stunned her fans when she announced on Instagram that she had recently undergone a kidney transplant after contacting the auto-immune disease lupus. She thanked her best friend, the actress Francia Raisa, for donating one of her kidneys and added that she was “incredibly blessed”.

After selecting Gomez as its new face, Coach unveiled the multi-product range collection. “When we designed the Selena Grace, it was about exploring the qualities Selena wanted in a bag and creating something that felt personal to her,” said Coach’s Creative Director, Stuart Vevers.
