EUNICE SALIM and Nadia Sukirno are the founders of Aidan and Ice, an upscale, handmade fashion accessories brand specialising in one-of-a-kind statement pieces. “It came about spontaneously, started as a hobby four years ago,” says Nadia. “This year, we’re launching Cou Cou by Jowe as a more affordable line.
“For us, giving back is an important factor. We hold an annual charity event for different causes. Besides growing our business, we must not forget that we have to give back to the community. It’s always been part of our vision. This is our second time supporting this cause, because we see there is still low awareness among the younger generation of how to reduce the risks of breast cancer.”
Adds Eunice: “I think we’re fortunate enough that we’re healthy, but cancer has affected my family. I know how difficult it is to deal with. If we can help other women, then why not? As a millennial, I know we still have much to learn. At the end of the day, the network wants to use its knowledge to have positive impact on the community.”
