RIFKY ASSEGAF BELIEVES that every woman deserves to have good health - in particular, his wife Shahira, who was unable to join him for the shoot because she had given birth to a baby girl just the day before. As the father of two girls, the 29-year-old cofounder of Kyra, a luxury python and crocodile leather handbag brand, acknowledges that breast cancer is an issue that hits close to home.
“Both my wife and I feel strongly about this issue,” says Assegaf. “Getting involved in this project is part of our efforts to help the women who are affected. As entrepreneurs, we hope to play a role in influencing others and to help raise awareness for such an important cause.”
Assegaf and his wife, who is Creative Director of the company she founded in 2013 at the age of 18, joined Heritage Millennials to broaden their business network, and help others. “Being part of this organisation has given us the opportunity to play a part in important causes,” says Assegaf. “It’s a blessing to be part of a community that wants to care for others.”
