RIDERS OF THE KNIGHTS, the 52-piece High Jewellery collection from Louis Vuitton, is a tribute to the powerful vision that drove innumerable medieval heroines in making history.

The vision—strength, determination, and audacity—of the Riders of the Knights is the leitmotif of the Maison’s all-new collections by new jewellery designer Francesca Amfitheatrof.

This dazzling collection celebrates great female figures from the medieval realms and reflects the current societal landscape—all while personifying the Louis Vuitton woman. The all-new High Jewellery range has 6 overarching themes:

Le Royaume

Inspired by the gorget (an armour worn to protect the neck in battle), this architectural piece is remarkable for its intricate enameling and delicate draping against the skin.

A luminescent mesh with lines that mimic medieval fortresses is woven with 1,600 rare diamonds. Resting on it is the most regal of all gemstones, a velvety royal blue sapphire that weighs 19.31 carats. La Reine

As its name suggests, Reine (French for the word Queen) paints the ruler as a strong-willed woman.

On the 152.83-carat Reine necklace are nine astounding huge aquamarines of a Santa Maria-like blue. The design evokes the magnificence of dynastic jewels and sovereign power.

The bezels are precisely handcrafted to fit each of the stones. They feature a unique symbol, sculpted and mounted on a pavé chain set with 24 carats of diamonds.

Le Talisman

The talisman is a symbol of the oracle that confers luck and protection.

The medallion is adorned with a rich 4.07-carat Emerald and a gold-encrusted deep blue lapis-lazuli that’s polished to silky perfection. Its openwork at the back reveals the star cut, one of LV’s emblems.

L’Intuition

Luminous emeralds (the stone of wisdom) define this theme. Enchantingly minimalist, the design evokes the evanescence of intuition. From rings to the necklace and pendant, this theme features the star cut or Monogram flower, LV’s iconic emblem. La Cavalière

La Cavalière is a precious interpretation of the warhorse’s harness.

The Cavalière necklace showcases spinel (a deep red-orange gem that symbolises ardour and courage) with iridescent diamonds. All stones have been cut and placed to obtain a perfect harmony of colour and style. Les Armoiries

Embodying the coat of arms that adorned the clothing and flags in the Middle Ages, LV’s Les Armoiries is all about the sword designed as a brooch.

Sapphires and rubies have been custom cut to fit into the design silhouette. The stars are patterned after LV’s star cut, and the vibrant colours of gold, blue, and red are inspired by heraldic hues.

An extremely scrupulous gem-setting and polishing work have been carried out to attain the beauty that run from the pommel to the tip of the bladed weapon.

Francesca Amfitheatrof’s all-new High Jewellery opus for Louis Vuitton achieves a perfect blend of medieval aesthetic and modern glamour.

The Riders of the Knights collection possesses a wealth of one-of-a-kind savoir-faire that distinguishes it from the rest—only the most accomplished of jewellers can attain and something Louis Vuitton is renowned for.
