A higher state of consciousness

Paying for a meal in a restaurant can be a frustrating business, perhaps because of inexplicable delays waiting for the check or being billed for items that were never ordered. But if settling your last bill was a quick and accurate experience, it’s quite possible that this was because of the work of Deren Mokoginta. He is Managing Director of the Indonesia operation of Quinos Point of Sale, a company whose software enables restaurant owners to run their establishments more efficiently.

“Building a family with my wife and our two lovely daughters; for me, that is the most significant milestone in my life,” he tells us. “In my work, I always look at challenges as an opportunity to grow. We have to believe that we have the power to overcome them. It is with this sense of responsibility that we can be in a higher state of consciousness, where challenges become opportunities to get the best out of ourselves.

“I am so grateful to my mother. She always inspires me to grow without barriers. One of the most important lessons I learned from her is to accept success and failure as part of life’s journey. We are all learning. No one gets it right every time.

“Since I began my career, I have learned that each day is an opportunity to improve, and always want to be better. The more you accomplish, the higher you want to reach. So long as you have the hunger for success, you will always have the power within to achieve it.”
