THE DREAM UNFOLDS
As submissions for the Dream Wedding initiative continue to pour in, we take a look at another set of names contributing their time and services to this joyous event
That’s what we like to call the healthcare professionals now at the front lines of our ongoing battle against the COVID-19 pandemic. Many made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure the safety of others, and a lot more have had to put their lives on hold. Fortunately, recognition for what these brave souls are going through is on the rise, as is the number of people, brands, corporations and so on that are trying to do something meaningful for them.
It is with this spirit that the Dream Wedding
HEROES.
initiative was launched by Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta, Time International and as the program’s official media partner.
As the name of the initiative clearly implies, the objective is to gift one of the nation’s medical heroes with a dream wedding, with the joyous event being as close as possible to a literal dream wedding. The venue for the wedding would, of course, be at Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta. The lucky couple, as well as their families and guests, can be assured of safe proceedings as the hotel has introduced a comprehensive health and safety program titled “Lead With Care,” which is grounded in healthcare expertise and enabled by access to leading technologies and tools.
Moving on to more celebratory elements of the dream wedding, a host of special touches will be provided by Time International, a leading luxury retailer in Indonesia with a comprehensive portfolio of world class luxury brands. The jewellery worn by the bride, for instance, will consist of exquisite pieces from Cartier. Time International will also furnish the bride’s makeup and the groom’s suit. Perhaps more importantly, however, Time International’s gift to the bride and groom will include the company’s help in recruiting some special talents for the event. This include the master of ceremonies for the wedding reception – in this case the one and only Daniel Mananta – along with the entertainment, namely Andi Rianto and Magenta.
LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION
Andi Rianto is one of Indonesia’s foremost film composers, having composed, edited or directed the music and soundtracks of more than 80 films. This is on top of the numerous musical arrangements he’s created for singles, albums and concerts.
“Sharing joy and happiness has always been a major driving force in my journey as a professional musician. That is why I am humbled and overjoyed
– to say the least – when I was given the chance to contribute to this Dream Wedding project,” Rianto commented. “In these turbulent times, in an exciting collaboration between Time International,
Four Seasons, Magenta and me, we will dedicate our
thoughts and minds in creating a memorable wedding day for the true heroes of the times.”
Also shedding a light on the heroes of the special day – in quite a literal way – is Lumens Indonesia. Now, admittedly, lighting is somewhat of an underappreciated element of wedding venues, yet it is one of the most crucial. Proper lighting can add drama, create the right ambience and draw attention to the finer details of the venue as well as the proceedings. And this is where Lumens Indonesia’s solid understanding of lighting design will come into play, creating the perfect dreamy atmosphere.
Established back in 2013 by Rensis Wenas, Lumens has an extensive portfolio of bringing a more illuminating approach to the décor of weddings as well as concerts, theatre, corporate events and even fashion shows.
Yet another sometimes-underappreciated-yetdecidedly-essential hero of weddings is the photographer. For this event, photography and videography services will be provided by The Leonardi, which is helmed by Indra Leonardi, owner of Indonesia’s renowned King Foto Group. A graduate of Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, Leonardi is known for the artistic style of his imagery. His team, meanwhile, is well-versed in capturing how weddings – and
