The St. Regis Bali Resort presented its latest offering of luxury, the Milestone Celebrations package, to celebrate special milestones or events in the most exquisite fashion. Abdurrahman Karim reports.
EVERY MILESTONE IN LIFE – be it a wedding, a birthday, an anniversary, or any other major occasion – is worth celebrating. Under this notion, The St. Regis Bali Resort presented a new package called Milestone Celebrations to chronicle those special moments in the most splendid, memorable way.
Launched on September 26, 2022, the Milestone Celebrations package comes with a plethora of luxurious perks and impeccable service to create an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime moment. Prestige Indonesia attended the launch event of this new offering, and caught an early glimpse of what The St. Regis Bali Resort has in store for celebrants...
An Unforgettable Evening
The aforementioned launch party began with evening cocktails at The St. Regis Bali Resort’s Strand Residence. This, by the way, is where guests procuring the Milestone Celebrations package will spend a two-night complimentary stay – but more on that later. The Strand Residence itself is a two-story beachfront villa designed in a contemporary style infused with traditional Balinese elements. It has three bedrooms and a study convertible into an additional bedroom. The villa also features a private pool overlooking a split-level garden adorned with lush verdure.
That evening, however, attention was drawn to a cake – dubbed the “Milestone” cake – which was showcased at a corner of the villa’s living area.
The event proper commenced with an opening speech by the General Manager of The St. Regis Bali Resort, Marcel Kloet. First, Kloet mentioned the most recent achievement of the property: The St. Regis Bali Resort won two awards at the prestigious Travel+Leisure Southeast Asia – Asia’s Best Awards
2022 for the “Best Beach Hotel” and the “Best Hotel Spa” categories in Indonesia. Of course, he also talked at length about the soon-to-be-launched Milestone Celebrations package.
CEO of Rajawali Property Group, Shirley Tan, also addressed the assembled crowd of guests and media representatives, touching on the opening of The St. Regis Bali Resort’s sister property, The St. Regis Jakarta, in December this year. The resort’s in-house jeweller, Grant Smyth from Harold Alexandre Fine Jewellery, also joined in welcoming the evening’s invitees.
Exquisite Opulence
The Milestone Celebrations offering helps you celebrate your greatest achievements in life. Valued at US$ 3 million, the package accommodates 100 guests. The luxury journey begins with a pick up by private jet for eight guests from any capital city in the world. A one-hour reception with signature cocktails and canapés awaits, as well as Dom Pérignon champagne to complete the moment.
Guests are later on treated to a five-course gala featuring culinary delights custom crafted by The St. Regis Bali Resort’s Executive Chef Agung Gede and his exemplary team, further enhanced by a three-hour Grand Prestige Beverages package. Making the night even merrier, the package includes a live music performance, an exquisite 600-shot firework display, and a traditional Balinese fire dance performance.
The Milestone cake is, as expected, the crown jewel of the celebration. Debuting as a three-tiered white-blanketed cake as showcased during this launched event, the cake is a collaborative creation between The St. Regis Bali Resort’s pastry chef Vincent Stopin and Smyth, embellished with Colombian emeralds and Sri Lankan sapphires, as well as pearls and diamonds. Valued at US$ 2.5 million, the cake ranks seventh on the list of most expensive cakes in the world. The cakes and gemstones are, of course, fully customizable. The stones can later on be used in a jewellery piece as a reminder of the glorious fête.
As mentioned earlier, eight guests can enjoy a two-night stay at the Strand Residence. They can also embark on a remarkable rejuvenation journey, getting pampered with unlimited spa treatments. Lastly, the package also includes complimentary return airport transfers. All and all, the Milestone Celebrations offering ensures that the greatest achievements are celebrated in the most exquisite fashion possible.
The Night is Young
Back to the launch party at The St. Regis Bali Resort, following the evening cocktail, we walked down a beachside pathway to the main venue – the terrace of the Cloud Nine Chapel, the property’s signature wedding venue. The white walls of the picturesque chapel served as a blank canvas for a dynamic digital projection mapping showcase. An epicurean gala then took place at the al fresco dining area, comprising five courses led by a scrumptious amuse-bouche, while a live band serenaded the diners.
