EVA Air launches nonstop Taipei to Chicago route in November

hicago and taipei will be connected as of November 2016 thanks to EVA Air’s new non-stop flights linking the two world business centres. The Taiwanese internatio­nal airline, based out of Taoyuan Internatio­nal Airport near Taipei, will launch the flights starting November 3. The air carrier with livery symbolisin­g the airline’s seamless network and services will operate four flights a week.

The latest-model and Wi-fi-equipped Boeing 777-300ERS configured for 333 passengers in Royal Laurel Business, Elite Premium Economy and Economy Classes will serve the interconti­nental line. Convenient early morning departures and arrivals westbound, as well as night-time departures and arrivals eastbound, will enable business travellers to use their workdays for appointmen­ts and meetings instead of running to or from an airport.

Dutch Diaspora

Galeri Nasional in Jakarta will display the “Dutch Diaspora II: The Orphans of the Dutch East India Company” exhibition by Geert Snoeijers at Hall B of the national gallery. Ananda’s Awards

The Institut Français d’indonésie in cooperatio­n with the Ananda Sukarlan Center will hold the Ananda Sukarlan Awards national piano competitio­n at the IFI Auditorium in Jakarta. The winner of this four-day contest will receive a scholarshi­p for music studies in France.
