The staff members are dedicated to providing their personal attention to each traveller’s needs and fulfilling their requests with effervescent friendliness.

Just as the legendary Shangri-la on the mountainside in Tibet provided peace and tranquility to wandering travellers, the ShangriLa Hotel, Singapore welcomes all guests looking for the same serenity with open arms.

Tower Wing

The original wing of the Shangri-la Hotel, Singapore, the Tower Wing underwent a S$95 million renovation in 1999. The lobby was transformed to include hand-carved oval marble columns and a sweeping staircase that leads to the Rose Veranda, perched one level above the Lobby Court. Four bespoke grand chandeliers spiral downwards to the lobby. The expansive lobby’s new design included majestic art pieces and floor-to-ceiling glass panels that overlook the hotel’s pool and grounds, bringing the beauty of Shangri-la’s famed garden indoors.

The lobbies of Shangri-la hotels around the world are graced by a signature scent that has come to be known as the “Essence of Shangri-la”. This delicate scent is fresh and clean, and is said to evoke sensations of serenity and calm. The safe, non-allergenic, water-based fragrance is gently dispersed by an atomisation system which features antibacterial and anti-smoke benefits as well.

The Tower Wing houses 347 guestrooms with warm and inviting contemporary designs enhanced by curved edges of all the furniture found within. Unlike conventional hotel furniture, every piece within the room has been specially sculpted to create a harmonious

flow within the room without sacrificing functionality. All guestrooms feature a spacious living interior, with a cosy corner to relax in while taking in the view through floorto-ceiling windows.

The Valley Wing is the most exclusive wing of the Shangri-la Hotel, Singapore. Ever since its unveiling in 1985, the Valley Wing has become the premier accommodation choice for travellers who appreciate world-class luxury. Its unique ambience, combined with personalised services and exclusive facilities, puts it right at the peak of luxury living.

The Presidential suite on the 17th floor overlooks the landscaped gardens, and is the pinnacle of luxurious accommodation. Over the years, the Valley Wing has become the desired home-away-from-home for royalty, heads of states, foreign dignitaries as well as captains of industries on their visits to Singapore.

After celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Valley Wing, the Shangri-la Hotel, Singapore launched the Valley Wing Experience—a bespoke experience that will cement the Shangri-la name as the best in the business. Designed around five guest touchpoints and to reflect modern luxury, the Valley Wing Experience begins pre-arrival and continues throughout the guest’s stay. A newly refurbished Champagne Bar, exquisite turndown amenities, and a specially curated French menu, are exactly what guests can look forward to.

Pre-arrival services start with butlers reaching out to guests to ascertain their needs and preferences. Available arrangements range from airport limousine transfers to finding the perfect sunset-viewing spot. A personalised inroom check-in with beverages and newspaper of choice can be prepared in advance.

Dining promises to be unforgettable as the Valley Wing’s culinary offerings were developed by Chef Christophe Moret, head of the two-michelin starred L’abeille in the Shangri-la Hotel, Paris. From duck foie gras and corn omelette for breakfast, to fourminute boiled egg with caviar and croutons, to rich chocolate marble cakes at afternoon tea to delicate evening canapés, dining at the Valley Wing is truly an extraordinary experience.

The exquisitely redesigned Champagne Bar, with its fine furnishings, signature Shangri-la scent and grand chandeliers, will transport guests to a whole new world of opulence. Within the luxury enclave, guests get to sample the specially developed Valley Wing Edition of Singleton 15 Years Single Malt Whiskey. Among the daily complimentary tastings are Perrier-jouet Champagne, unlimited fine spirits and The Teamaker’s Private Reserve selection by Dilmah.

The turndown amenities consist of a menu of six indulgent treats developed by Executive Pastry Chef Herve Potus for the Valley Wing. The menu is guaranteed to sweeten the guests’ stay with treats like kueh lapis cake infused with citrus and fragrant osmanthus flowers, homemade marshmallow with elderflower essence, Valrhona Opalys chocolate dip and cookies and milk with cookie sticks.
