Tatler Indonesia

Happy New Year!

-

as it really a year ago that we saw in 2016? Wow. Time sure does fly in the world of Indonesia Tatler’s social whirl. The year seemed to bring so much bad news: we sincerely hope that wasn’t the case for you, but if it was, let’s hope that 2017 brings us all blessings. Meanwhile, what we can guarantee you is that this issue will bring smiles to your faces.

As well as all roundups of all the social happenings towards the end of last year, we also shine a light on the sterling work of Tigor Siahaan in leading CIMB Niaga by germinating ideas and encouraging young innovators to develop their dreams into tangible plans. Elsewhere, we also talk to Lorenzo Rudolf, founder of Art Stage Singapore and last year’s fabulous Art Stage Jakarta, about what to expect at this year’s show. One thing’s for sure: expect the unexpected!

The delectable Rany Moran takes us on a trip to The Maldives this issue, too, in a fabulous photo shoot that shows off her amazing looks in a perfectly pristine environment. And when it comes to all things precious, we focus on an exclusive white truffle dinner held by the indomitable Chef Chris Salans.

For more food-related fun, turn to our interview with talented Chef Marco Riva, who is transforming cooking into an art form. Meanwhile, we join Jasmine Prasetio and brothers Edu and Junior Tirtadji as they dine out and enjoy the views at Bengawan at Keraton at the Plaza.

Our cover girl this month, Luisa Andrea Soemitha, is Miss Earth Indonesia 2016, and we have a lovely chat about her current endeavours in the country, her future dreams and her aspirations. We’ve even rounded up the region’s most-eligible males for all you single ladies out there. Last, but not least, we cover a four-day Indian wedding held among much glitz and glam, including spectacular shows by some of India’s best Bollywood actresses.

Here’s wishing all of you a very happy new year once again and happy reading!
