Berluti has finally unveiled its fall/winter 2017/18 accessories collection, which stars snazzy leather backpacks and boots. First spotted on the Paris runway in Creative Director Haider Ackermann’s debut ready-to-wear collection, the boots and the military-inspired Velvet backpack capture a savvy urban-classic attitude. Crafted to the highest standards of Berluti’s savoir-faire, they combine the Maison collection’s signature aesthetic design and an extra touch of attitude.
The Velvet comes in three different variations. Firstly, in sturdy khaki canvas emblazoned with an army-style “BRLT” stenciled on lizard-skin, galuchat straps and handle, back, inner strap, and with zip details in toro leather. Secondly, in sturdy black canvas with “BRLT” logo, back and straps in black toro leather, and front zip trimmed in Venezia Mogano or Bolt Nero. Lastly, in supple, butter-soft black calfskin with Vitello Fiore straps, toro leather back and inner straps, and a Venezia Mogano zip pull.
For ultra-functionality, the All-in- One Day wallet optimises organisation thanks to a billfold, four pockets and 12 credit card slots, plus a removable zipped pochette with three credit card slots. It comes in three versions, all lined in calf leather: in patinated Venezia leather, in lizard skin with an extra outside slot, and in toro leather embossed with the “BRLT” stencil motif and mediator made of horn, with a bespoke guitar case designed for the fall-winter runway presentation.
There is also Marin Underground, an adjustable cross-body bag inspired by the sailor duffle, which comes in khaki canvas and black toro leather with “BRLT” stenciling or in full-leather bison or toro variations.
In addition, Berluti has also introduced two daring statement boots: the Bergen and the Austin. The Bergen combat boot is poised to become an instant classic. Ideal for winter, the boot has sleek, rounded lines, a rock-inflected lace-up detail, and an inner zip for simplicity. The Bergen is available in black glazed calf or mogano Venezia leather with or without castorino trim.
The Austin low boot nods to the nonchalance of rock and roll, combining a daring, graceful shape with the ease of a slip-on.
