ARTOTEL Indonesia is expanding its establishments and declaring its transformation into the ARTOTEL Group, a company integrating hospitality, event management and curated merchandise

ounded in 2011, ARTOTEL Indonesia was created with the idea of promoting local art to hotel guests. Now, with ARTOTEL Group, its aim is to promote and bring to life local art to the creative community of the world guided by Erastus Radjimin, CEO of ARTOTEL Group and Eduard Rudolf, COO of ARTOTEL Group. With the transformation, ARTOTEL Group will be welcoming on board its event management division called ARTOTEL Project Series (APS), catering mainly to art exhibitions and art-related events and workshops.

Through its establishments, the ARTOTEL Group encapsulates a collection of artinspired hotels that features artworks by talented Indonesian contemporary artists. The hotels are designed with murals, paintings and installations by local emerging artists, bringing them a phenomenal artistic ambience.

To further tie up its relations with the art community in the country, all of its establishments house a rotating gallery called the ARTSPACE, which is an area for local artists to freely showcase their works. Its curated merchandise, ART OF LIFE (AOL), is an urban line featuring designs by Indonesian contemporary artists. AOL now sits in every hotel and has an official website to reach out to local and international markets.

The group is also expanding its hotels to Yogyakarta and Ubud. It has not only successfully created a chain of hospitable establishments, but has also delved into the food and beverage industry with the recent development of the ARTOTEL Beach Club located in Sanur, Bali. Meanwhile, Semarang, Bandung, Lombok and Jakarta will also witness the rise of new projects in the next couple of years.

Apart from ARTOTEL, the group will be developing a brand-new concept hotel called Bobotel, targeting the mass market. This new chain of hotels will be built alongside airports, major train stations, office buildings and shopping centres for those who prefer to spend their nights closer to key amenities.

Another special-concept hotel chain under the ARTOTEL group is the Curated Collection—a five-star boutique hotel concept created for the niche market with exceptional services and facilities. Future locations for the Curated Collection hotels include Canggu in Bali and the neighbouring Lombok.
