Immerse yourself at the 18th in Bandung’s pleasant weather while enjoying scenic views of the city

Enjoy killer views of Bandung and delectable dishes at the Trans Luxury Hotel’s The 18th restaurant

Looking out across the cityscape all the way through to the surrounding mountains that dominate the Bandung scenery, and you begin to see why the 18th is one of the most popular restaurants in the city. Located on the top floor of the Trans Luxury Hotel, the view is only part of the charm and elegance that are on offer when visiting this specialty restaurant with exclusive indoor and alfresco dining.

Having been greeted with a professional smile, you are left with the choice to dine indoors or out. The interior modern-art style is filled with deep blacks and golds that offer a meticulously unrivalled design that is boldly lit and helps to create a regal atmosphere. Meanwhile, the outside is filled with multiple romantic moments, which make it a popular destination for celebrations and proposals, with its soft lighting and well-spaced tables. For the brave of heart, the Sky Walk’s glass floor shows a view of the city that many will have never seen as the clear floor peers over the 18 storeys below.

The dominant flavours of the menu are unmistakeable, with meat being prominent throughout. Yet there are some richly flavoured vegetarian dishes for those not wishing to dine carnivore. Starting your meal can be a happy difficulty as each dish is served beautifully with the plates seen as artistic additions rather than simply a necessity. The Pan-fried Scallops are light way to start, while the Beef Carpaccio or the Home-cured Salmon offer another dimension to your meal.

The Chef Skills menu includes slowly cooked Lamb Shank, Roasted Wagyu Rump, Slow Cooked Veal Cheek, and Australian Short Ribs, which have been cooked for 24 hours. Each dish is a hearty meal that shows the skill and time taken by the kitchen and Chef de

Cuisine Lukman Hakim to craft every one. Along with enjoying the Chef Skills Menu, you can choose from the Signature dishes section. Beautiful cuts of beef are celebrated with each bite melting in your mouth, the crowning achievement being the Prime Tomahawk. Served as 550g or a show-stopping 1kg, it comes with a choice of sides and sauces, as do the other delectable beef choices available.

The Italian Pasta options offer something different for those looking for a break from a mouthwatering steak while the finishing touch is all about the Sweet Finish. Dive into the 18th signature tiramisu, while chocolate lovers could fight over the Chocolate Trio dessert of chocolate cake, dark chocolate mousse, and a side of chocolate ice cream. If you find yourself unable to choose, there is also the Signature Dessert Platter. Selected by the Chef de Cuisine, it is filled with sweet surprises that are perfect for sharing with someone special.

Alongside the array of amazing food on offer and stunning views is a 3,000-strong wine collection, any of which can be brought up from the special wine selection in The Cellar, itself located in the lobby. Wines from across the world can be enjoyed with the whole menu, making your meal an occasion—a unique experience to share with special people.
