Living the Luxe Life

Bandung and its famed Trans Luxury Hotel provide a relaxing weekend getaway

-

Surrounded by scenic mountains and dominating the Bandung skyline, the Trans Luxury Hotel is the pinnacle of style brought to you by the Trans brand. Located just next the highclass Trans Studio Mall, which also houses a miniature theme park, the hotel literally has something for everyone as every need or desire is taken care of.

Walking into the hotel, you will find yourself at the base of a fairy-tale staircase that is begging to be photographed. The arching back of the crystalline dragon that dances above your head will maintain your gaze as welcoming staff greet and accommodate your every need. Obsidian and gold dominate the surrounding view with hints of burgundy and deep reds laced throughout the foyer.

All 280 guest rooms and suites use Italian Serpiente marble and offer comfort and luxury at every turn with modern-art décor and handtufted carpeting, which has been especially designed and hand-picked for the hotel. Each room and suite has a 46-inch LED interactive TV, exclusively customised luxury linen with 320 thread-count Egyptian cotton, multiple pillow options, an i-home complimentary wireless HSIA, electric decorative curtains, and a personalised mini-bar and amenities. Also, to ensure you have a peaceful sleep, there are soundproofed windows along with a 24hour personal butler service for those staying in the Celebrity Suites and Presidential Suites.

A host of experts offer a wide range of techniques and massages that will leave you relaxed and rejuvenated, while the gym boasts all the equipment and facilities you’d expect in a high-end establishment. There are two dining areas, with The Restaurant offering a world-spanning buffet styled meal, and The 18th, showcasing both an unparalleled view of the city and a delicious light fine-dining menu. As well as dining options, the lobby is accompanied by The Cellar, which offers more than 3,000 wines, a well-stocked humidor, a collection of soju, saki, whisky, port, and other late-night beverages. The Cellar is found in the Lounge, which offers live music and comfortable booths all decorated in soft black with a golden trim.

Whatever your special occasion, the Trans Grand Ballroom and Convention Centre offers a number of imaginative options, seating up to 4,000. Its unrivalled capacity is often used for a host of musical concerts, the most recent being Irish boy-band legends, Boyzone. The musical extravaganzas carry on throughout the year and culminate in New Year’s celebrations with live performances from internationally recognised names, all of which will be announced in the coming months.
