Airbnb targets travel managers

AIRBNB HAS ANNOUNCED a new tool that allows travel managers to book stays for employees.

Business travel booked through Airbnb has tripled in 2016 so far, according to the company, but until now users were unable to designate other travellers in the checkout flow.

The tool allows those who use the Airbnb for Business portal to book for someone else so that both the travel manager and employee can see the trip details, change bookings and message the Airbnb host with questions.

The company says that 50,000 companies have used Airbnb for Business to make a reservation and 10 per cent of all bookings are for business travel. airbnb.com/business
