CONRAD has opened a hotel in Chicago. Located on Erie Street, off the Magnificent Mile, the 20-storey property has 287 rooms and suites, event space and American and Italian restaurants, with a Japanese eatery to follow in the summer. CITIZEN M has opened its third London property. The 216-room Citizen M London Shoreditch is housed in a new mixed-use development close to Shoreditch High Street station. YOTEL has launched a new brand for its airport properties, with the opening of the first Yotel Air at Paris CDG. Part of the new Instant Paris transit lounge area in Terminal 2E, it’s the first airside hotel at the airport. Its 80 cabins are bookable by the hour. STARWOOD’S Tribute Portfolio (now part of Marriott International) will welcome the Apollo Hotel Amsterdam, located canalside in the Old-South district, in April following the renovation of its 223 guestrooms and public areas. ROTANA is planning to open 16 new hotels in the Middle East and Africa by the end of 2017, taking the total number of properties in its portfolio to 75. They include hotels in Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Iraq. LE MERIDIEN has completed a

Ð2.7 million renovation of its Vienna property. The ground floor has been revamped, with a new “Le Méridien Hub” concept that divides the lobby into three “experience zones” – the Arrival Experience, the Interaction Zone and the Bar. INTERCONTINENTAL HOTELS GROUP is to open a Hotel Indigo in Milan in 2018. The 55-room Hotel Indigo Milan Corso Monforte will be housed in an historic palace building in the city centre, and will have a restaurant and gym. RITZ-CARLTON is to make its New Zealand debut in 2019. The Ritz-Carlton Auckland will have 300 rooms and suites, two fine-dining restaurants and a streetlevel café and will be located next to the Sky City casino and events centre. CARLSON REZIDOR will open the Radisson Red Kuala Lumpur City Centre in 2022. The 166-room new-build will be located about less than 1km from the Petronas Twin Towers, and will have a rooftop pool and gym.
