BRITISH AIRWAYS has announced two year-round routes to Milan Linate. It will operate two daily flights (one at weekends) from London City from April 24, and a twice-weekly Stansted service from April 29, both using Embraer 190s. BA is also adding two seasonal services from Dublin and Edinburgh. It will fly weekly between Dublin and Ibiza from mid-May until the end of September, departing Ireland on Fridays and Ibiza on Sundays. A weekly Friday service between Edinburgh and Palma will run from June to September. CATHAY PACIFIC will boost its Manchester­Hong Kong service to five flights per week in June and six weekly flights in December. RYANAIR is to launch seasonal routes this winter from Liverpool to Copenhagen, Milan and Prague. Copenhagen and Prague services will operate four-times weekly and Milan three-times weekly. SWISS is to launch a weekly seasonal route between Zurich and Cork in June. Flight LX2560 will depart Zurich on Fridays at 1140, arriving at 1305, with return leg LX2561 leaving Cork at 1345 and landing at 1700. In July and August, an extra frequency will run on Mondays, departing Zurich at 1145 and Cork at 1350. BMI REGIONAL is to launch a new route between London Stansted and Derry from mid-May. It will offer a double-daily service (once a day on Saturdays), “making it easy for business travellers to do the round-trip in a day”, the airline said. KLM will more than double its capacity at Inverness this summer. Between mid-May and late October, the Dutch carrier will fly twice-daily between the Scottish city and Amsterdam. It will also operate all flights with larger Embraer 190 aircraft. FINNAIR has boosted the number of A350 flights it operates between Heathrow and Helsinki to daily, up from five times a week. The aircraft is used on flight AY832 from London and AY831 from Helsinki. AIR ASTANA is to increase flights to Heathrow later this year, with a fifth weekly nonstop service launching on June 4. The new frequency will operate on Sundays. EMIRATES is to launch a daily service to Phnom Penh this summer. The airline will fly to the Cambodian capital using a twoclass B777-300ER from July 1.
