MGallery opens Le­ices­ter Square ho­tel

ACCORHOTELS HAS OPENED an MGallery prop­erty on Lon­don’s Le­ices­ter Square.

The 86-room Vic­tory House, Lon­don Le­ices­ter Square, MGallery by Sof­i­tel has been de­signed by Michaelis Boyd, the com­pany be­hind the in­te­ri­ors of Soho Farm­house in the Cotswolds.

In­spired by the lo­ca­tion, rooms and pub­lic ar­eas fea­ture prints of 1950s movie icons, while silent films are pro­jected on to the lift and lobby area. Ground-floor French restau­rant Petit Bistro of­fers al fresco din­ing.

Vic­tory House is lo­cated on the north-east cor­ner of Le­ices­ter Square. Its 19th-cen­tury ter­ra­cotta façade was built in early French Re­nais­sance style by the­atre de­signer Wal­ter Em­den.

IHG has also an­nounced that it will open the Ho­tel Indigo Lon­don One Le­ices­ter Square later this year. It will have 95 rooms, a rooftop bar, a restau­rant and a gym.
