SCIENCE MUSEUM

The Science Museum in South Kensington offers 14 event spaces accommodating both day and nighttime functions. These include the 414-seat IMAX theatre, which uses “image maximum” technology, a state-of-the-art surround-sound system and one of the world’s most sophisticated projectors for presentations and large-scale conferences.

The interactive Wonderlab features more than 50 exhibits in seven zones and allows visitors to explore scientific phenomena related to sound, forces, light and electricity. The space can accommodate 400 guests for receptions and dancing, and is available for standalone hire or in conjunction with another gallery, such as Flight, which can host a banquet.

Another new space – Mathematics: the Winton Gallery – is a popular choice for lavish dinners. With exhibitions spanning 400 years of human ingenuity, the swirling, purple-lit interiors (inspired by the aerodynamics of aviation) were designed by Zaha Hadid Architects. In total, the gallery can accommodate 200 guests for a drinks reception.
