Flybe fuels UK business travel this winter

Europe’s leading regional airline operates more UK routes connecting local communities than any other carrier

-

Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline, will be connecting UK business travellers better than any other carrier this winter. No airline operates more UK domestic flights than Flybe.

Flybe’s 2017-18 winter schedule features 135 routes operating from regional and local hub airports offering a choice of up to 3,059 flights a week. This comprehensive network contributes to the continued growth of UK trade and investment by providing fast, frequent and convenient travel connections within the UK and also to and from the leading economic powerhouses of mainland Europe.

In March 2017, Flybe was the first regional carrier since 2013 to operate services from London Heathrow with new multi-frequency routes to and from the capital to Edinburgh and Aberdeen – a milestone heralded by business leaders and Scottish politicians from across the political divide.

In 2014, Flybe started flying to and from London City airport providing direct connections and fast access to the heart of London’s financial district, the City and Canary Wharf. This winter, Flybe will operate up to 90 flights a week from London’s most central airport, which also has a DLR station next to the terminal for immediate onward travel to the very heart of the capital.

From leading regional airports such as Aberdeen, Belfast City, Birmingham, Cardiff, Doncaster, Dublin, Edinburgh, Exeter, Glasgow, Manchester and Southampton, Flybe also offers business travellers yearround “One Stop to the World” connections via its 12 codeshare partners when booked with a travel agent or directly with the relevant airline. For example, passengers flying from Scotland to Heathrow can continue onwards with Virgin Atlantic to Los Angeles or New York, or east with Singapore Airlines, all on one ticket.

Flybe offers a number of extra benefits to the business traveller, including its “Fly Early” service, which allows passengers to travel home on an earlier flight if needed, with only a flat fee and no fare difference to pay. This increased flexibility means that cancelled meetings needn’t impact on valuable time spent away from home or the office.

Meanwhile, passengers choosing an “All-In” ticket have the freedom to change their date and time of travel, even at the last minute – a real benefit for business customers with plans that often change at a moment’s notice. Flybe also offers double Avios for every £1 spent when booking an AllIn ticket – these reward points can be spent on part payment for future Flybe flights.
