AS THE DEFINITION OF LUXURY INCREASINGLY focuses on authentic experiences, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts has just unveiled new offerings to guests of its Middle East and Africa properties. Boasting “memorable, sophisticated, authentic luxury travel experiences”, the Curated Experiences by InterContinental will be available in seven hotels around the region. In the UAE, InterContinental Dubai Festival City offers a “Couture Connoisseur” experience which includes high tea with a personal stylist, before a shopping session, all followed up by a hair and makeup styling. Further afield, a “Souk El Tayeb Street Food” trip in Beirut is led by the hotel’s executive chef with a Polaroid at hand to snap memories; in Jordan guests can head to Wadi Rum for the cinematic “Martian Experience”, where the Matt Damon-helmed movie was filmed; and those staying at the Cairo property can hop into a vintage car to discover one of the city’s most unique districts in the “Time Travel to Korba” experience.
