Italian Dining Comes to the Caribbean

-

When MSC Divina arrived in the Caribbean in November to begin its year-round service from Miami, cruisers rightfully expected the finest in Mediterranean ambience, entertainment, furnishings, and dining, all on a Sophia Loren– christened jewel of the cruising world.

Which is why MSC Cruises joined forces with Eataly, a popular Italian market chain renowned for its epicurean insights and high-profile celebrity chefs, to launch two authentic restaurants and an onboard marketplace for the dazzling ship. Between the upscale Ristorante Italia and regional steakhouse Eataly Steakhouse (fashioned after the famed Manzo restaurant in Manhattan), MSC Divina is ensuring that Italy and the finest dining are well represented in the Caribbean.

“Eataly is the perfect complement to MSC and the Mediterranean flair we bring as a key differentiator to the North American market,” says Ken Muskat, senior vice president of sales and marketing for MSC Cruises USA. “Much like MSC, Eataly is taking its Italian roots and expanding them.”

In the United States, Eataly has partnered with celebrity chefs Mario Batali and Lidia Matticchio Bastianich to ensure that the finest in cuisine is also matched with the appropriate amount of style. Those who’ve sampled the fare at Eataly’s famous Manhattan location know exactly what’s in store; those who haven’t yet experienced this superb venue will soon see what all the righteous fuss is about, with the finest cuts and antipasti along with the freshest and best quality ingredients available.

All together, they lay a delectable foundation for the best in Italian dining at sea.
