SO, WHAT’S YOUR NEXT CRUISE?

- BY BILL PANOFF

It doesn’t matter which item you check off your list next, whether big or small, near or far.

Whether you’re a first-time or a long-time cruiser, may I suggest always having some fabulous journey to look forward to. First time setting sail from Alaska? First trip to another country? Trying out a new cruise line after years of only sailing another? Good for you! There’s a wonderful world of cruising out there just waiting to be explored. If you’re looking for some inspiration for which waters to head for next, this issue will provide plenty of ideas. From luxury line Crystal Cruises comes the launch of Crystal Yacht Cruises’ Crystal Esprit, which recently debuted from the Seychelles — complete with a three-person submarine for guests to go below the surface, just for the fun of it. Another luxury small-ship line, and “the little cruise line that could,” SeaDream Yacht Club, celebrates its 15th anniversary this year.

If it’s adventure you’re seeking, this issue takes you on an Arctic expedition from cruising Canada’s Northwest Passage to a photographic journey around Greenland. Or, turn to the pages that review an Abercrombie & Kent journey along the Nile River.

Also in this issue, we hear from a 19-year-old frequent cruiser who dispels myths about cruising to skeptical millennials, check out the latest river cruise spa offerings, and look at the design behind the wet-and-wild water parks on today’s megaships. There’s no doubt plenty to get your brain churning about what to plan next.

It doesn’t matter which item you check off your list next, whether big or small, near or far. Just never stop checking. Oh, and let a cruise take you there.
