THE SETTING → Area 31, the swanky restaurant and lounge located on the 16th floor of the Kimpton EPIC hotel in Miami, is the place to go for a taste of the local social scene amid a picture-perfect setting. The spacious outdoor terrace boasts panoramic views of downtown Miami, Brickell Key, Biscayne Bay, and the Miami River, in a chic, comfortable setting. THE SCENE → By day, the indoor/outdoor restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch with a focus on fresh, local seafood. At night, the lounge heats up as the sun goes down and it all begins at happy hour. On Fridays, it’s “Chase the Clock,” when drinks are priced by the hour ($5 at 5 p.m., $6 at 6 p.m., and so forth). THE SIPS → The innovative drink menu includes an extensive wine selection of reds, whites, rosés, and champagnes from around the world, as well as seasonal craft cocktails, rum pairings, and cigars.
