To strike up a conversation with a local, talk about the weather. If it’s gorgeous, say so. But if you really want to get in good, say that you love Stockholm despite that cold rain. While Swedes love to complain about the weather, they are prepared for it, often saying, “there is no bad weather, only bad clothing.”
