Ahvaz-tbilisi flights launched
Flights between the southwestern Iranian city of Ahvaz and the Georgian capital of Tbilisi started as of Friday, said the director general of Khuzestan Province Airports on Saturday.
Mohammadreza Rezaei added that a Boeing 737 will land in Ahvaz Airport at 2:30 a.m. on Fridays and leave for Tbilisi at 2:30 p.m. on the same day, IRNA reported.
Also on Friday, Iran’s Mahan Air announced that Tehranbarcelona direct flights became operational on Thursday.
It added that Tehran-barcelona flights would be conducted on Sundays and Thursdays using an Airbus A340 aircraft.
The direct flight cuts short the duration of the flight to six hours from the earlier period of 12 to 15 hours.
