Iranian filmmaker Dormishian on Iraq’s panel of jury

Reza Dormishian, the Iranian director of acclaimed movies ‘I’m Not Angry’ and ‘Lanturi’, has been selected to serve on the panel of jury at the second edition of the Slemeni International Film festival which is being held on Iraq’s Kurdistan from October 1 to 7.
Dormishian was an assistant to some prestigious Iranian filmmakers, including Dariush Mehrjoui and Alireza Davoodnejad. He began his directorial career in 2002 making short films and documentaries, ISNA reported.
The festival includes 47 films from Iran, France, USA, Germany, Italy, the UK, Mexico, Chile, Spain, Kazakhstan, the Philippines, India, Lithuania, Serbia, Paraguay, Albania, Algeria, Morocco, Colombia, Chile, Portugal, Russia, the Netherlands, Belgium, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Belarus, Japan, Egypt, Turkey, Denmark and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
The International Cinema Section presents a series of feature and short films from all over the world. It includes feature films (narrative features with a minimum length of 60 minutes) and short films (the short film with a maximum length of 25 minutes).
The Kurdish Cinema Section presents a series of Kurdish films; feature, and short films, made in Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Iran, Turkey and Syria. This section includes feature films ( narrative features from Iraq’s Kurdistan Region, Iraq, Iran, Turkey, Syria with a minimum length of 60 minutes) and short films (the short film with a maximum length of 25 minutes).
