Father, son make giant transformers out of rubbish
If you and your Dad are rubbish at talking then building things from trash might be a good bonding exercise and could stop all those arguments about whose turn it is.

And the good news is you don’t need to go salvaging old car parts to have similar foraging fun with your old man.
Neither do you need to be Isambard Kingdom Brunel — “one of the most ingenious and prolific figures in engineering history” — to nurture that familial spark.
Simply up-end your wheelie bin on the drive and have a giggle whacking together a city scape from mom’s empty containers, or a Landrover Defender from a used pizza box (the chassis), an egg carton (the driver’s cab) and the tops off four tins of baked beans (the wheels, obvs).
Trust us, it’s a lot more fun than just taking dad down his local for a rest.
Besides, both of you will just end up talking rubbish after several pints anyway.
