ENI: Raising output from oil wells, great achievement for Iran

A senior of¿cial of Italy’s ENI said raising production rate of oil wells would be a great success for Iran’s oil industry given the size of its reserves.

Alessandro Tiani, vice president of Enhanced Recovery Technologies and Advanced Reservoir Modeling of ENI said this in an address to an upstream forum at the 3rd Iranian Petroleum and Energy Club Congress and Exhibition in Tehran on Wednesday, Shana reported.

He added increasing output from oil¿elds by even one percent would be a great advancement for Iran.

Tiani said enhanced oil recovery (EOR) methods must be employed in Iran’s oil industry to save the ¿elds and boost output.

He underlined that development of new technologies have helped improve EOR methods and accelerated the ef¿cient performance of operations in oil¿elds.
