Russian body-builder faces having his limbs amputated after injecting himself with homemade potion
A Russian man has been warned he faces having his arms amputated after using a homemade chemical concoction to bulk up his muscles.
Kirill Tereshin, 21, from Pyatigorsk in south western Russia’s Stavrolol Krai region, developed Popeye-style biceps after undergoing controversial injections, but is now suffering the consequences of his experiments, dailymail.co.uk wrote.
The former ex-soldier recently posted on Instagram saying his ‹bazooka arms are about to fall off›, and doctors have warned that he risks paralysis and amputation.
Yet despite the warnings, he says plans to continue injecting himself with homemade Synthol muscle-enhancer.
Synthol is made up of 85 percent oil, 7.5 percent lidocaine, and 7.5 percent alcohol, and Tereshin has said he makes his from olive oil, lidocaine and benzyl alcohol.tereshin has posted several disturbing images on his Instagram, showing his biceps with a shocking red and purple discoloring.
He has previously been warned that there is a risk of paralysis but a top Russian medic says the threat is graver.
Professor Evgeny Lilin, said: “Not immediately but his very likely faces amputation in the future.
“One day abscesses will develop, then inflammation and he (will be at risk of) a stroke.
“The bad thing is that already-injected Synthol or its equivalent will remain in his muscles for the next five to seven years, even if he stops adding more now.”
He has already injected himself with six liters of this ‘dangerous liquid’ and increased the size of his biceps to 23 inches.
Tereshin had made clear he plans to stop at 27 inches, say reports.
He then plans to ‘improve’ his back, chest and shoulders.
“I would like to get more than one million subscribers on Instagram and to stop working,” he said, adding that he was considering an offer to become a porn star.
