Pars Int’l Tourism Exhibition kicks off in Iran
Abig broken crock dating back to the late Sassanid or early Islamic era was found in the southwestern coast of the Caspian Sea, said an authority of Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization’s Department in Gilan Province.
According to IRNA, fishers from a village on the coast of the Caspian Sea fished out the antiquity that got stuck in their net, said Vali Jahani.

He said that the outside and inside of the ancient object are both covered with marine sediments such as sea shells which indicate that the crock had been located deep in the sea for a long time. The 9th Pars International Tourism Exhibition opened in Shiraz in Iran’s southern Fars Province on Sunday.
According to IRNA, the event is aimed at introducing the potentials and capabilities of Iran, Fars Province in particular, in tourism industry.
Several foreign ambassadors from Bangladesh, South Korea, Indonesia, Syria, Austria, Malaysia, Tajikistan and South Africa attended the inauguration ceremony of the four-day exhibition.
Meanwhile, several domestic and foreign companies in the fields of airline, He also said that more research would be done on the newly found piece. hoteling, hotel reservation systems, free zones, air and sea sports clubs, diving schools, recreational complexes, tourism and tourist resorts as well as handicraft are attending the exhibition.
The Iranian National Folk Festival, Balloons Festival as well as three tourism-related conferences including investment and branding, health tourism and tourism architecture will be held on the sidelines of the exhibition.
The exhibition will wrap up on Dec 13.
