Shevi among highest waterfalls in Iran

-

‘Shevi’ or ‘Tal-e Zang’ Waterfall is one of the highest and most beautiful waterfalls in Iran. It is located in Zagros Mountains in the Sardasht region of Dezful in the southwestern province of Khuzestan.

It lies a short distance from Lorestan Province between Sartang Shevi Mountains, 10km from Tale Zang Railway Station and along the Tehran-south Railroad which is the most accessible route to the site, tasnimnews.com wrote.

The best time to visit Shevi Waterfall is in spring (April) when the perfect weather and the green space make it an unforgettable experience. The water passes from the mountains before flowing into Dez River.

There is a diversity of vegetation around the waterfall, including trees such as willow, fig and oak. Near the waterfall, there is another high waterfall sometimes referred to as the second Shevi Waterfall.

This waterfall — which is the most beautiful waterfall in Iran in some people’s idea — is a beautiful and pleasant waterfall which comes from a cave outside and flows in a high defile downwards. It was registered on the National Heritage List in 2015.
