German exports rise considerably in November 2017
German exports rose considerably by 4.1 percent in November 2017 on the previous month after seasonal adjustments, German Federal Statistical Office Destatis reported.
In calendar and seasonally adjusted terms, Germany exported goods worth €111.6 billion (about $132.8 billion) in November 2017, up by 4.1 percent on October 2017. Meanwhile, Germany imported goods worth €89.2 billion in November, up by 2.3 percent on October 2017, according to provisional data released by Destatis, Xinhua wrote.
The foreign trade balance recorded a surplus of €22.3 billion in November after seasonal adjustment.
Juergen Friedrich, chief executive at Germany Trade and Invest, said that the growth data of German exports in November showed that ‘Made in Germany’ is popular all over the world.
According to Friedrich, the growth of exports and imports with other European Union member countries, which rose each by 8.0 percent and 9.5 percent year on year, is the main reason.
“Another important reason for the growth is the high-quality products and the innovative technology of German companies,” he added.
