Iran’s investment opportunities in Guinea unprecedented: Envoy
Guinean officials have prepared unprecedented investment opportunities for Iranian investors in different fields, including the agriculture sector, said Iran’s ambassador to Guinea.
Vahid Kiani further told IRNA, “Investment opportunities are prepared in agriculture, fishery, mine, animal husbandry, technical and engineering services and industrial fields.”
Commenting on the views of the Guinean people about Iran and also on economic cooperation opportunities, Kiani said Guinea officials are interested in cooperating with Iran.
He recalled that over 12 Guinea ministers underlined the need for cooperation with Iran during Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif’s trip to the country. Joint Mous were also signed by the two sides, he added. Guinean central bank has also expressed readiness to set up a joint bank with Iran, to issue investment permits and to launch Iranian banks, he noted.
Iran diplomatic mission in Guinea stresses maintaining cooperation in extra-territorial cultivation between the state and private sectors of the two countries, Kiani said.
Guinea, in West Africa, is bordered on the west by the Atlantic Ocean. It’s known for the Mount Nimba Strict Nature Reserve, in the southeast.
