Official: Iran promotes exporting medical equipment to Brazil
Asenior health of¿cial announced that exporting medical equipment in the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2018) is to be promoted 10 times. Director General for medical equipment department of Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education Reza Masaeli underlined that the medical equipment export was $24 million in the year to March 2018. He added that it is to reach to $240 million this year, IRNA reported.
Masaeli said that Health Ministry with collaboration of Foreign Ministry is following up the issue of medical equipment export, so in this concern is accompanying foreign minister in his one weekvisit to Brazil, Senegal, Namibia and Uruguay.
He said one of the largest medical equipment exhibitions in the world is to be held in Brazil, Latin America.
So, the Iranian delegation is following up the issue of Iranian manufacturers’ presence in the fair during their visit, he added.
Masaeli pointed to promotion of quali¿cation of domestic medical equipment, adding promotion of equipment according to international and European standards is one of the goals of the Health Ministry.
He also said that all domestically-made medical equipment must receive European standards during the year to March 2019.
