Boy playing with inflatable alligator joined by real gator
A Florida woman taking video of her sixyear-old son playing with an inflatable alligator in their yard spotted a real gator creeping along the side of her house.
Nicole Mojica of Ocoee posted a video to Facebook showing the alligator she spotted coming up along the side of her house while her son was playing with the inflatable toy, UPI reported.
“This thing was watching us the whole time from the side of my house and it ran down my slip and slide into the pond. Now it is just sitting there looking,” she wrote. Mojica said she doesn’t know how long the alligator was present before she noticed it.
“I don’t know how long he was sitting there, watching,” Mojica told WKMG-TV.
She said her four-year-old daughter was just a few feet away from the alligator when she ran over to pull the child out of harm’s way.
The mother said she is worried about the safety of her children outside their home.
“You just have to be vigilant,” she said. “Don’t send your kids in the backyard without going outside first.”
