Iran’s IEE hosts 70 foreign companies
The 18th International Electricity Exhibition (IEE) was opened in Tehran on Friday by Energy Minister Reza Ardakanian. According to IRNA, the exhibition — also known as Elecshow 2018 — is hosting 442 Iranian companies and 70 foreign firms from 18 leading countries in the electrical industry, including Austria, Germany, Russia, Japan, England, China and the US.
The event, which is taking place in an area of 39,000 square meters at Tehran International Fairground, is being attended by employers, counselors and contractors in the field.
Companies manufacturing lighting apparatus, wire and cable, electrical panels and equipment, automation, instrumentation systems and transmission lines are displaying their products.
New technology-based companies and startups are also showcasing their latest products at the Elecshow 2018.
On the first day of the exhibition, a meeting titled ‘Developing Iran’s Electrical Industry: Challenges and Solutions’ was held with the participation of Ardakanian and private organizations in the sector.
Iran’s Export Development and Waterelectricity Industrial Logistics Center will also hold a conference on the challenges facing the sector and suggest solutions to meet the industry’s export objectives.
The expo will also hold three workshops for journalists from November 3-5.
The workshops are titled ‘Developing Renewable Energies in Iran and the World’, ‘Familiarity with Production Concepts in Electrical Industry’ and ‘Challenges Confronting Electricity Distribution’.
The Elecshow 2018 is open to the public from November 2-5.
